Alex Gambal founded his own winery in 1997. He is now making about 5000 cases of wine per year exclusively in the Cote d'Or; from bourgogne chardonnays and pinot noirs, to grand crus, such as Corton Charlemagne, Clos Vougeot and Le Chambertin. His artisanal winemaking style, including racking the wine by hand, barreling by gravity, and bottling by the phases of the moon, contributes to the purity and character which define his wines.
